San Carlos Falls

San Carlos Falls was a very scenic hike and then descends into the valley to a very pretty waterfall.  The mosquitoes were rather impressive. The boys did really great with all the steep areas and overall hiking around.  The total distance was just over 3 miles for the whole trip.  We did not go down the falls itself, but there was a great log that Owen liked to sit up on for us to have our sandwiches.  It was the same parking area that we used when we went to our least favorite hike Libugon.  When not in the rainy season, the trails are so much more enjoyable.  The part of the path where Milton found the large cracks of dirt were in five inches of water when we were last there.
